So excited to share my full-page feature in The Business Times! It’s such an amazing feeling to be recognized as one of Singapore’s top “mom” influencers. When the idea first came to me to start a blog, all sorts of negative thoughts followed. You are too old, not cool enough, and far from the picture perfect influencers I saw on social media. In the beginning, I was hesitant to share photos of myself and didn’t even tell anyone I had a blog for almost a month. Scrolling through my social media feeds, most of the influencers I saw were in their teens and 20s. I couldn’t really relate to them and wanted to see more women like me – in their 30s doing everyday things. I knew there was a gap and I wanted to help change that. Deciding to start blogging in my 30s was not easy. Taking photos, writing content, and sharing on social media takes a lot of time, effort, and dedication. There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes.  When The Business Times approached me to be a part of their feature , I was excited to share my experience! For me, blogging isn’t about the glitz and glam – it’s about sharing everyday stories that readers can relate to. Introducing Baby Aadhav!

Blessed to introduce Aadhav Bhaskaran! Born August 23rd weighing 6lbs, 14oz, 20in. Baby Aadhav and Mom are doing wonderful. Becoming a mother is truly the most beautiful experience and I’m excited to share this journey with you! It’s been such a blessing to have Aadhav in our lives and each day we settle more into our role as parents. Honestly it is (very) tiring but seeing our Baby Boy’s beautiful face, you forget about the tiredness, aches, and pains and do your best to give love and care to your little one. Each day is different, each day you learn more, and each day your heart fills with memories and laughter. This week we celebrated Aadhav’s First Week Birthday. I thought it was fitting to share his birth story since so many of you asked about the delivery. I’m writing this post on very little sleep so if some sentences don’t make sense, please forgive me!

My Maternity Fitness Routine

Since sharing my pregnancy news, so many of you have asked me to share my maternity fitness routine! On Instastories, I often share my fitness photos and I always get asked about what I actually do. For me, fitness has been a constant in my life for the past 16 years since my freshman year in college (wow that’s so long ago!). One thing that has really surprised me is how many misconceptions there are about working out during pregnancy. Many people have even written to me saying to take it easy and that I shouldn’t be working out at all. I always strive to put my baby’s health first and discuss my fitness routine with my OB during each visit. So far, I’ve been cleared to workout as much as my body feels comfortable. My OB always tells me to listen to my body first and foremost. Now that I am in my 7.5 month, I workout 1-2 times a week since I get pretty tired from my day job and my hands and feet are so swollen! I am excited to share my pregnancy fitness routine with you trimester by trimester. Always remember, each person’s pregnancy and fitness journey is unique – do what feels best for you. Life in my third trimester has been full of changes! For the first time since February, I am feeling a lot more tired. By 9 pm each night, I am exhausted. Also – my hands and feet are constantly swollen, which make everyday tasks a lot more tough. Through the changes in my body, I am learning I need to slow down. Working in a startup is demanding and I’m trying to balance my blogging commitments as well. Over the last month, you may have noticed some issues with the format on the blog. About a month ago, there was a tiny formatting glitch which snowballed into my site completely going down! Since then, I’ve continued to have more issues, where I have to call my hosting provider during US business hours. As a result, I’ve spent many nights on the phone till midnight trying to get things sorted out. So far the site is back to normal, but I may have issues with updates I’ve been wanting to make. Thank you for your patience as I try to get the site back to normal. Also – I really appreciate your suggestions on article topics! Insta stories has been a great way to connect with you and hear what you are interested in. Keep the ideas coming. I am starting to work on posts in advance for when the baby comes and love hearing your ideas.
