Social and Style Featured in The Business Times!

// Social and Style Featured in The Business Times! //

So excited to share my full-page feature in The Business Times! It’s such an amazing feeling to be recognized as one of Singapore’s top “mom” influencers. When the idea first came to me to start a blog, all sorts of negative thoughts followed. You are too old, not cool enough, and far from the picture perfect influencers I saw on social media. In the beginning, I was hesitant to share photos of myself and didn’t even tell anyone I had a blog for almost a month. Scrolling through my social media feeds, most of the influencers I saw were in their teens and 20s. I couldn’t really relate to them and wanted to see more women like me – in their 30s doing everyday things. I knew there was a gap and I wanted to help change that. Deciding to start blogging in my 30s was not easy. Taking photos, writing content, and sharing on social media takes a lot of time, effort, and dedication. There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes.  When The Business Times approached me to be a part of their feature , I was excited to share my experience! For me, blogging isn’t about the glitz and glam – it’s about sharing everyday stories that readers can relate to. It’s been such an amazing journey and I have you to thank! “My followers make me feel like they are on this ride with me, and I feel their excitement when I share these moments with them,” – Check out the rest of the article here!

Top 10 Must-Haves for a New Mom!

Jacket Similar // Top // Skirt // Bag // Sunglasses

Now that Baby Aadhav is almost 6 weeks old, he’s growing so fast. He smiles all the time and started interacting a lot more. It’s the best feeling ever to see your baby smile and laugh, On the flip side, Baby A has also started a gassy phase which is not fun for both of us. We aren’t really on a schedule yet so every day is different. A lot of blogger friends have recommended Babywise – an eat, play, sleep philosophy for babies. My pediatrician was not a big fan so I decided to wait till Aadhav is a little older to be on a schedule. I would love to hear from you on how you created structure with your little one.  For now, I’m accepting that change is the new normal and remembering to embrace it. So many of you asked about my favorite products or tips for new moms. I’m excited to share my Top 10-Must Haves for a New Mom on the blog today. Celebrating One Month with Baby Aadhav!

Top similar // Earrings BaubleBar //

On Saturday, we celebrated Baby Aadhav’s One Month Birthday. I can’t believe it’s been a month since I held my beautiful baby for the first time. The days really do go by so fast with a little one. These last four weeks have been the most beautiful, amazing, intense time of my life. Thankfully Aadhav makes it easy for us. As we get the hang of parenting, I’ll be sharing all the ups, downs, burps, and laughter with you. As a new mom, I’m learning so much, making mistakes, and trying to be the best mom I can be. Some days are better than others, but each day fills me with joy when I see Aadhav smile, grow, and experience the world for the first time. Everyday is different and everyday I feel more confident as a mom. I’ve also learned how important it is to have a support system. Having my Mom here in Singapore is truly a blessing. I could not do it without her. While my focus and energy is with Aadhav, my mom makes sure I am eating (all my favorite foods), resting (when I can), and helping with all the chores (there’s A LOT of laundry for such a tiny baby!). Each month, I plan to share an update on Mommyhood – stay tuned!

#PowerWomen – Meet Rupa Parekh Founder of Umani

Mom playing with baby Jai Jai Hooray Indian God's Flash Cards for Kids

Jai Jai Hooray Flashcards c/0 Umani  Playmat c/o  – Baby Jalebi

I can’t believe Baby Aadhav is three weeks old! Time really does go by fast with a little one. Now that I am a mother, I’m thinking about how we want to instill values and our culture to Aadhav. Growing up, there weren’t many Indian American children in my school. My mom tried to teach us about our Indian culture and religion by taking us to the Hindu Temple every week. Since we didn’t understand Sanskrit, it was hard to follow what the Pundit (Priest) was saying. We learned how to do arti, recite the gayatri mantra, and celebrate festivals, yet it wasn’t until I was in college that I really understood the meaning behind so many of the traditions we followed. As a mom, I do my best to share with Aadhav our culture and beliefs. I want him to not only learn about our religion, but also understand the meaning and history of the Gods, Goddesses, holidays, and festivals we celebrate. When I first heard about Umani and the company’s first product, Jai Jai Hooray flashcards, I knew I wanted to share them with Aadhav. Umani is dedicated to making cultural learning irresistible through beautifully simple tools, toys and experiences.  The company launched it’s first product line, Jai Jai Hooray, to create a tool that made it easy for anyone to be a teacher or student. I chatted with Rupa, founder of Umani to learn more about what inspired her to start Umani!

Personalized Baby Gifts with Soufeel

Name Necklace c/o Soufeel

Anything personalized with Aadhav’s name melts my new mamma heart. I have always loved personalized gifts, but there’s something about seeing your child’s name that truly makes your heart sing. When Soufeel connected with me to collaborate, I was excited to try their selection of personalized jewelry ranging from necklaces to bracelet charms. There are so many designs to choose from and best of all the jewelry is so affordable! My experience from order to delivery was so smooth and  I’m in love with how the jewelry turned out. Wearing my necklaces, bangle, and ring, I feel so close to Aadhav. In the last two weeks, I’ve only left the house a few times without the baby to run quick errands, When I do, I always sneak a peek at Aadhav’s name jewelry and send him a warm hug and prayer – letting him know his mama is coming home soon! Just for you, I am excited to share a 10% discount code ‘Kamana10’ for all Soufeel jewelry till October 1st. I hope you enjoy the personalized details as much as I do!
