#RealTalk – Post Pregnancy Fitness

Leggings & Sports Bra c/o Annee Matthew

This post is probably one of the most real updates I have written in a while. Since giving birth, I cannot tell you how many people have commented on my appearance. The first few days after I came home from the hospital, the comments ranged from how tired I looked to the security guard in our building asking me when is the baby due. I politely told him the baby is already here – and he just stared at my stomach with a confused look. Honestly, I have stared at myself with that same look for weeks now! Baby Aadhav is almost 3 months old and I have started my postnatal fitness journey. This truly is a journey. While it may look on Instagram that I have “bounced back”, I can assure that is not the case. Honestly, I’ve been shocked at how difficult it is to get back to working out. There are so many challenges from finding time to actually workout to learning my stamina is about 10% of what it used to be. These past few months, my focus has been on making sure Baby Aadhav is healthy and happy. While that seems like a normal thing, breast feeding and pumping run my life. I’m still about 17 pounds over my normal weight. Almost none of my pre-baby clothes fit and with a baby, there isn’t a budget for a whole new wardrobe. While I am trying to eat healthy, I also have to be careful that I have enough calories to feed my growing boy. Now the new normal is to workout, even if it’s a quick 5 minute walk or 30 min YouTube video. I also try to eat healthy but eat a lot more calories since I am eating for two.  The main area I am trying to tone up is my abs. I have a lot of extra fat around there that I hope will go down by continuing to breastfeed, workout when I can, and eat a diet healthy for a nursing mom. I’ll be sharing more of my journey, workouts, and meal plans with you on the blog – stay tuned!

What’s in my Diaper Bag

So many of you have asked me to share my favorite baby products! I plan to share my favorite products in themes such as travel, bath time, etc. Today I am sharing what’s in my diaper bag and my must-have products to carry with me! I get so many questions about my diaper bag whenever I bring it out on Instastories. My actual bag is the diaper bag I gifted my sister for her first baby shower six years ago (similar here). It’s a bit too bulky for her so she decided to regift it to me! I personally love it since the bag is so roomy and fits under my stroller. Before I share what’s in my diaper bag, I should probably share that I tend to over pack whenever I go out. While most of the time I only use about 20% of what’s in my bag, I would rather be over prepared than under – especially with a little one! Let me know if I am missing anything or share your must-haves in the comments below!

Tommee Tippee Complete Feeding Set Review

c/o // Tommee Tippee Complete Feeding Set //

When I was preparing for Baby Aadhav’s arrival, I did a lot of research on the best products to buy within our budget. As a new mom, I had the tendency to want to get everything! Thankfully my husband reeled me in and always reminded me that we should only get what is really useful, fits our space, and is reliable. Researching feeding products like sterilizers, bottles, and bottle warmers – I realized there were a lot of options. After discussing with my pediatrician, I decided  to start pumping around 6 weeks after baby Aadhav was born. To make sure I was ready, I started looking for feeding items. After buying my breast pump (which is usually covered buy insurance!), I started to look for feeding accessories. Finding a good bottle was my main priority since I’ve heard some cause the baby to have gas and intake issues. After researching online and asking friends, the Tommee Tippee brand came highly recommended. When I was asked to review the Tommee Tippee Complete Feeding Set, I was excited try a brand that I had heard so much about. What I love about the feeding set is that everything comes together in one handy package. Rather than buy a sterilizer, bottles, bottle warmers, storage containers, and washing brushes separate, the feeding set has everything you need for bottle feeding! Check out my review below!
