Introducing Baby Aadhav!

Robe c/o  Pajama Sutra // Swaddle

Blessed to introduce Aadhav Bhaskaran! Born August 23rd weighing 6lbs, 14oz, 20in. Baby Aadhav and Mom are doing wonderful. Becoming a mother is truly the most beautiful experience and I’m excited to share this journey with you! It’s been such a blessing to have Aadhav in our lives and each day we settle more into our role as parents. Honestly it is (very) tiring but seeing our Baby Boy’s beautiful face, you forget about the tiredness, aches, and pains and do your best to give love and care to your little one. Each day is different, each day you learn more, and each day your heart fills with memories and laughter. This week we celebrated Aadhav’s First Week Birthday. I thought it was fitting to share his birth story since so many of you asked about the delivery. I’m writing this post on very little sleep so if some sentences don’t make sense, please forgive me!

Hi…I’m Back!

Babymoon Bali Rent a Dress SG 11

// Photo location: Westin Bali // Dress c/o: Rent A Dress SG

I want to start this post by saying I’m back and I missed you! Sometimes, you need to take a break from blogging and focus on what matters most in your life. More on that in upcoming posts… While I never expected the break to be this long, I am thankful that I took time to reflect, mature, and be thankful for what I have in life. As you may remember from previous posts, the move to Singapore went smoothly and I am proud of myself for adapting to my new home so quickly. Soon after the New Year, I went back to the US to meet my new baby niece. It was then that I realized I needed to pause and be more present in my life. Blogging had started to become a main priority rather than a creative outlet that I loved. Thank you for all your messages and patience during this time.  So many of you wrote to me checking to see if I was ok and that meant so much. Now that I feel rested, I am full of ideas to write about! While I was away, I learned I loved fuss-free healthy cooking, read a ton of books (I can’t wait to share with you), and most important – I want to get back to writing about topics that inspire readers. Relaunching the #PowerWomen series is something I am excited about, along with lots of travel posts (next up our trip to Bali)!

Happy Holidays from Phuket!

// Dress – Rent A Dress SG – Aijek //

Happy Holidays from Phuket. Hope you had a Merry Christmas with your family and loved ones. We are loving our relaxing vacation in Thailand. Beaches, pools, and Island adventures is just what we needed.  Staying at the Westin Phuket Siray Bay, our time in Phuket has been lovely. Yesterday, we visited a Tiger sanctuary and dined on the top of  Khao Rang Hill in Phuket Town at Tunk Ka Cafe. The view was amazing and so was the food! I’ll be sharing more of my favorite sites and places to eat in Phuket soon. On the outfit front, I loved wearing Singapore designer Aijek’s flowy white dress on the beach! Shop the dress on Rent A Dress SG  and use 15% off code ‘SOCIALANDSTYLE15’ for any purchases from Rent A Dress SG over $50. What are your plans for the holidays?!

Giving Thanks

topshop-sweater-x-nordstrom-v2

Thanksgiving is such a beautiful holiday. Taking time to reflect on what you are grateful for and celebrating with loved ones is so important in the face-paced world we live in. For the first time in my life, I’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving outside the US. Living in Singapore, I’ve been introduced to the large expat community here. There are lot of Thanksgiving celebrations all over the country and I am looking forward to celebrating with new friends. This Thanksgiving is even more special for me since I have so much to be thankful for. Not having my mom act like world is ending – now that I am finally married is probably what I am most thankful for. Just kidding (ok maybe not ;) Jokes aside, I wanted to share what I am most thankful for this Thanksgiving since you are one of them!
