Top 10 Must-Haves for a New Mom!

Jacket Similar // Top // Skirt // Bag // Sunglasses

Now that Baby Aadhav is almost 6 weeks old, he’s growing so fast. He smiles all the time and started interacting a lot more. It’s the best feeling ever to see your baby smile and laugh, On the flip side, Baby A has also started a gassy phase which is not fun for both of us. We aren’t really on a schedule yet so every day is different. A lot of blogger friends have recommended Babywise – an eat, play, sleep philosophy for babies. My pediatrician was not a big fan so I decided to wait till Aadhav is a little older to be on a schedule. I would love to hear from you on how you created structure with your little one.  For now, I’m accepting that change is the new normal and remembering to embrace it. So many of you asked about my favorite products or tips for new moms. I’m excited to share my Top 10-Must Haves for a New Mom on the blog today. I would love to hear your top must-haves in the comments section below!

Celebrating One Month with Baby Aadhav!

Top similar // Earrings BaubleBar //

On Saturday, we celebrated Baby Aadhav’s One Month Birthday. I can’t believe it’s been a month since I held my beautiful baby for the first time. The days really do go by so fast with a little one. These last four weeks have been the most beautiful, amazing, intense time of my life. Thankfully Aadhav makes it easy for us. As we get the hang of parenting, I’ll be sharing all the ups, downs, burps, and laughter with you. As a new mom, I’m learning so much, making mistakes, and trying to be the best mom I can be. Some days are better than others, but each day fills me with joy when I see Aadhav smile, grow, and experience the world for the first time. Everyday is different and everyday I feel more confident as a mom. I’ve also learned how important it is to have a support system. Having my Mom here in Singapore is truly a blessing. I could not do it without her. While my focus and energy is with Aadhav, my mom makes sure I am eating (all my favorite foods), resting (when I can), and helping with all the chores (there’s A LOT of laundry for such a tiny baby!). Each month, I plan to share an update on Mommyhood – stay tuned!

Introducing Baby Aadhav!

Robe c/o  Pajama Sutra // Swaddle

Blessed to introduce Aadhav Bhaskaran! Born August 23rd weighing 6lbs, 14oz, 20in. Baby Aadhav and Mom are doing wonderful. Becoming a mother is truly the most beautiful experience and I’m excited to share this journey with you! It’s been such a blessing to have Aadhav in our lives and each day we settle more into our role as parents. Honestly it is (very) tiring but seeing our Baby Boy’s beautiful face, you forget about the tiredness, aches, and pains and do your best to give love and care to your little one. Each day is different, each day you learn more, and each day your heart fills with memories and laughter. This week we celebrated Aadhav’s First Week Birthday. I thought it was fitting to share his birth story since so many of you asked about the delivery. I’m writing this post on very little sleep so if some sentences don’t make sense, please forgive me!

Hi…I’m Back!

Babymoon Bali Rent a Dress SG 11

// Photo location: Westin Bali // Dress c/o: Rent A Dress SG

I want to start this post by saying I’m back and I missed you! Sometimes, you need to take a break from blogging and focus on what matters most in your life. More on that in upcoming posts… While I never expected the break to be this long, I am thankful that I took time to reflect, mature, and be thankful for what I have in life. As you may remember from previous posts, the move to Singapore went smoothly and I am proud of myself for adapting to my new home so quickly. Soon after the New Year, I went back to the US to meet my new baby niece. It was then that I realized I needed to pause and be more present in my life. Blogging had started to become a main priority rather than a creative outlet that I loved. Thank you for all your messages and patience during this time.  So many of you wrote to me checking to see if I was ok and that meant so much. Now that I feel rested, I am full of ideas to write about! While I was away, I learned I loved fuss-free healthy cooking, read a ton of books (I can’t wait to share with you), and most important – I want to get back to writing about topics that inspire readers. Relaunching the #PowerWomen series is something I am excited about, along with lots of travel posts (next up our trip to Bali)!
